Fall Festivities

A few Saturdays ago there was a little event down the road that was free to families.  Free food, games, bounce house, etc.  There were also fire trucks and police cars that kids could sit in.  We had plans later that day, so I just sent the boys out while I stayed home during Clara's nap.  Boy I wish I could have been there to watch all the fun that Eli had!

Sitting in the firetruck!
You might look at this picture and do a double-take.  Yes, that is Eli at the top AND the bottom of the slide. : )  David did some fiddling with this one to "show movement" (his words).  Eli went down this slide several times, but it was so big and hard to climb up that someone always went with him.  Kind of funny he didn't mind sliding with complete strangers!

Eli and David shared a couple hot dogs while they were there.  Normally Eli won't even eat hot dogs!  And since then, he's loved playing with his pretend hot dogs in his play food.  : )

When the boys arrived home, we headed out to Noblesville to go to a pumpkin patch!  We went to Russell Farms.  We got going a lot later than we had originally planned, so it was actually quite warm that afternoon!  Crazy how we can be in coats one year and shorts the next!  Since we went during Eli's usual "nap" time, and he'd already had a full morning, he wasn't wanting to smile in pictures.  Still managed to get some cute shots, though.  (Clara was there with us, but nicely slept in her stroller.)

I took this picture with David's camera.  Don't know why it turned out blurry, but it was sure cute watching them ride the pedal tractor!

There were several animals to look at--a llama, turkeys, bunnies, chickens, a donkey, etc.

Didn't quite make the hole.  : )

Eli tried his hand at mini-golf.  : )

Examining a caterpillar . . .

Even though it sure didn't feel like Fall, it was fun to take part in our special Fall activities!
