9 Months!

Eli turned nine months old on the ninth day of the ninth month!  : )  He had his check-up today.  Everything looks good!  He had a major growth in height, yay!  We had to fill out a questionnaire about his developmental abilities, and we got docked points because he's not doing much cruising on furniture.  I certainly don't think he's developmentally behind, he just doesn't have a lot of interest in that right now.  Just yesterday I caught him standing in his crib, and today he pulled himself up to the couch!  So he'll be cruisin' in no time.  : )

The nurse that met with us recommended a prescription for Eli's spitting up problem.  But he's been doing it his whole life and it doesn't bother him or interfere with his sleeping, so we aren't going to use it.  Plus, in a few months it will hardly be a problem anymore.  She also gave us some formula that has rice added to it, and said we could give him that for every bottle and it should help him spit up less.

Eli did great with his shot!  He only cried for a few seconds.  It sure helped when I gave him some Puffs.  : )  His top two teeth are coming in now, too!  Here are his statistics:

Weight: 16 lb. 10 oz. (3rd %)
Height: 28.25 in. (50th %)
Head: 43.4 cm. (6th %)

Here Eli looks like a perfectly normal baby.  But don't be deceived.  I am about to share with you some of the strange tendencies of this cute little weirdo.

I took out a puzzle and this is what Eli thought you should do with the pieces.

He likes to pull out all of the laundry in the hamper and play with it.  Gross.

He puts the end of this syringe in his mouth, and he'll crawl all over the place like that.

Oh, cords.  One of Eli's first true loves.  This one happens to be the phone charger.  Wish I knew what made them taste so good!

He won't let me take him for a walk without his water bottle.

Okay, enough of the funnies.  Here are some cute ones.

He loves this table toy from Grammie!

Is he cute or what?!  : )  Can't believe he is 3/4 of the way through his first year!  Love our lil' sweetie!
