Pumpkin Time!

We carved our pumpkin on Halloween night.  Boy, it sure is a lot more fun when you're a kid!  I had forgotten how slimey their innards are, and what a big MESS they make!  But we still had fun.  : )  I thought Eli would be much more interested in playing with the pumpkin brains, but he wanted nothing to do with them.  I rubbed a little bit on his hand and he just made a revolted face.  : )  Haha!  That's okay.  It made it easier to work without a baby in the middle of everything.

The boys getting started on their pumpkins--David drawing on the face.

Daddy asking baby what he thinks of the pumpkin design . . . Two thumbs up!

Eli loved playing in his bare skin with his lil' punkin.  : )

I did the brain-scooping.

Trying to get Eli to put his hand in the pumpkin . . .  Didn't work.

Ta-da!  Eli was very fascinated with the jack-o-lantern, or Jack-o-Face-o, as he was affectionately called.

It was fun to start this new tradition as a family, and for Eli to have his first pumpkin-carving experience!
