26 Weeks

Time for another pregnant update!  I really don't have too many complaints.  Things have been going well for the most part, and I've been feeling pretty good.  Little girl kicks A LOT!  She packs quite a punch already, and I thoroughly enjoy feeling her somersaults and watching her body move all around my stomach.  It seems like every time I try to get David to feel or watch her, she stops moving!  It makes me happy knowing she's strong and active.

I've still managed to keep up with aerobics 3xs a week.  Even though most of the time I feel quite large, exercising makes me feel so much better, and that I have more of a handle on my enormous size.  : )  I seriously feel like I look 10 weeks farther along than I am.  I'm sure people are always surprised when they hear my due date.  Yes, people, I'm going to get a lot bigger.  (When you see my week's picture you'll definitely be able to tell how much I've "popped.")

One minor issue that I forgot to mention last time is bleeding gums and bloody noses.  All winter long I'd always have a bit of a bloody nose first thing in the morning (not too much anymore, maybe since the air isn't so dry).  I also have very sensitive gums when I'm pregnant, and can't go through a brushing or a flossing without bleeding.  Nice that it's nothing painful, just a nuisance.  : )

I've had a few instances where I've suffered from severe abdominal pains.  Not just for a minute, but for several hours, up to an entire day.  I'm not sure, but I think they were probably caused by eating too much sugar.  I stopped buying candy weeks ago, and except for a relapse the day after Easter, I haven't had any more troubles.

Heartburn has been poking its annoying little head at me.  It's not at all a problem, just comes occasionally in the evening.  A few years ago I suffered from heartburn pain in my back, but I'd never really had the burning in my throat before.  Yuck!

I'm also super tender and feel so much pressure already.  Moving in bed is so painful, as is walking for very long.  The small of my back gets fairly achy, mostly after sitting in one spot for too long, or doing too much work.

All right, so you're probably thinking, "I thought she said she was feeling pretty well?  Why the long list of complaints?"  These things honestly feel so minor to me.  I had a horrible second trimester with Eli, as I was severely suffering from the effects of taking Zofran, for anti-nausea.  Seeing as how those problems are not relevant this time around (at least not yet, fingers crossed!), I am quite happy with how I'm doing.  : )

I got a book of Target coupons for baby items in the mail, so I had a little bit of fun shopping for Little Girl.  It makes my heart so happy to see her closet getting slowly filled of her girly things.  I've been fawning over a onesie set at Target since it came out (the gray and yellow daisy 3-pack by Carter's), and I finally bought it!  It doesn't get any cuter than a sweet baby girl in yellow daisies.  : )
