One of our very favorite summer activities has got to be swimming in the creek. It really is the perfect set-up. We get to swim without worrying about a deep end, crazy sunburn, crowds of people, and me going in the water. It beats the splash pad where the water is freezing and the kids often prefer the playground anyway, and there's usually no shade for me. Yep, the creek is the perfect summer play place!
We went once this summer to Flowing Well Creek in Carmel, and then several times to the Cool Creek spot near our house. Eli's favorite activity is trying to catch water striders. He also enjoys looking for and collecting shells. A great time was always had!
