The kids tried their hand at pumpkin bowling--
In the middle of this arena there was a stage with fun music playing. Clara of course went over to start dancing. Then David scooped her up and danced with her!
We walked through a maze of mirrors that blinked different-colored lights! That was pretty cool and spooky! The kids got such a kick out of it.
This year Clara donned my old Alice in Wonderland dress, Ezra was a trooper wearing a pumpkin (like his brother and sister did at the same age). Eli chose to be a spy this year. He got some neat new gear from Spy X.
Train ride!
This was also one of the kids' favorite thing we did--Broomstick Alley. They swept a basketball through the hay bale maze. We didn't see this activity until the zoo was about closed. I'm so glad we squeezed it in in the knick of time!
A night or so before Halloween we carved our pumpkin. (Still only get just 1, haha!) As per tradition, Eli designed its face, I scooped out its innards, and David carved.
Here's a silly video of our finished result:
This year our ward included a chili cook-off at our Trunk-or-Treat. I brought my white chicken chili. It didn't place but there were several good options.
I always love seeing all of the Primary children in their different costumes and handing them candy.
Halloween night! All lined up and ready to go!
Not too long out Clara tripped and skinned her knees. :( She was all bloody and sad but she held it together and kept going.
Such a creepy house! There was even a projection screen in the window that displayed scary silhouettes. Not my kinda thing!
Always a delight to check out the stash back home!
David and I absolutely enjoy the rewards of trick-or-treating with your kids. ;)
