Ezra chose to have a baseball-themed birthday party. He had been a baseball fan for awhile. We held the party at Cool Creek Park and it was very mild weather! Comfortably warm, but throughout the party the wind kept picking up and sky darkened as a storm was approaching! (Thankfully we finished the party in the knick of time, but had to bring in all of the food in a pour-down!)
We kept it just grandparents (and Aunt Lillie), and it was a perfect time!
Ezra was our first kid who asked for a scooter! He had had his eyes on them for a while, seeing other kids riding on them at parks, and he was sure he wanted one for himself! Boy was he excited! (We soon discovered that having only one/three kids owning a fun new play thing was more of a hassle. I ended up buying scooters for Eli and Clara (calling it their early birthday gifts) as well, so all of the kids could go riding together.)
When the party finished, we walked a little ways up the hill behind us to play at the Nature Park for a little while.
It's always a ball having this little guy around! Loved getting to celebrate him!
