Clara's Blessing Day

As I mentioned in my previous post, the same Sunday as David's birthday was also the day that we blessed Clara in church.  We wanted to do it on that day so we could have a party for David while the family was already coming for the blessing.

We made it to church early enough to all sit together and for me to get Clara all dressed up.  Boy, it was crazy how much stress I felt over her blessing!  I actually had dreams of things going wrong, like forgetting her dress at home and sacrament meeting not being able to go on because everyone was waiting on us. Such silly stuff!  And getting her dress on her was such an effort it felt like she was going to prom!  Ha!  She did look lovely, and David looked very snazzy in his new suit.  : )

David gave a beautiful blessing, blessing her to "be a student of the scriptures" and to form a close relationship with her Savior, among other things.  It was short, but sweet.

I wanted to get pictures of our little family after sacrament meeting, but Eli did NOT want to be late to Nursery, so unfortunately we had to take them without him.

The family members that came.  Besides for David, my dad, his dad, and my brother-in-law were in the blessing circle.

On Saturday (about a week after her blessing), I squeezed Clara back into her dress so David could take some photos of her.  Love how they turned out!

It was a wonderful and special day!
