We have had an AMAZING accomplishment around here--David became a CPA!!! WOOHOO!! David first began studying for/taking the CPA exams in 2010. He took all four of them but didn't pass them all in the allotted time given (18 months). So then unfortunately he had to take all of them over again. But the second time around did the trick, and he passed all four of them in a row!
I can't even begin to describe how terrible these tests have been for both of us. David has pretty much studied most every single night (for at least an hour each) this entire 3+ years. That was valuable time that he couldn't spend with me, when we didn't have much alone time together as it was. Those gruesome tests were constantly weighing him down and being a burden he had to carry (and that I felt as well, though of course not measurable to him). David would sometimes get burned out from so much studying, but he never gave up, he kept persevering.
For the last couple months (when we just had one test to go and felt good about his chances of passing), David has excitedly been coming up with ways he wants to celebrate this huge achievement: Kings Island, eat at his favorite restaurant McCormick & Schmick, go to the Allen Edmonds shoe factory in Ohio, a new camera, even a cruise (haha)! Even though we have yet to celebrate AT ALL, David--just know some MAJOR celebrating will be headed your way! So very proud of you, love!
