Prairie Play

I've been working on going back through all my old blog posts to enlarge the photos to prepare them for printing into blog books.  While doing so I've come across lots of Conner Prairie visits!  We LOVE that place!  I just can't believe how fortunate we are to have had membership there the past several years.  It really is such a gem of a place!

Here are photos there from one of our trips we took in the spring. Funny, David and Eli were with us but we didn't get any shots of them this time!

On this trip it sprinkled/lightly rained off and on, but that actually ended up perfect!  There were way less people there and we got lucky and were always under covering when it rained a bit harder.  The rain and clouds kept it from being too hot and sticky.

We started at the Lenape Indian Village--

Animal Encounters Barn.  There were some brand new baby lambs that we ADORED!

Eli was especially fascinated with this lady telling us about her pots she'd made with clay, as he had just made a clay bowl at school.

Behind the William Conner house is this great big hill that drops down to beautiful yellow fields.  Ezra (always the bolter) took off running down the hill.  Clara of course runs down, too, when she sees him.  Eli was already in the Conner house, so I went with him and David followed the kids into the field (which we found out we aren't supposed to do).

Riding on the tram is always the fan-favorite for our family!

River Crossing--They changed a few things and one of the additions is a pretend fishing area!  Very cute.

"Full steam ahead!"
