Ezra's 2nd Birthday Party

My baby is TWO!  Oh, so bittersweet!  We couldn't love and adore our precious Ezra any more than we already do, and we all loved getting to celebrate his special day!

We invited both sets of grandparents for a simple party at Forest Park in Noblesville.  We brought a yummy lunch with us and set up a spot at some picnic tables that were nestled under large shady trees.  Our tables were right next to the playground, so the kids could come back and forth as they pleased between playing and eating.

After lunch we all took a ride on the carousel!

Next it was time to open presents and enjoy cake and ice cream!

Here's a video of us singing to him.  It was such a windy day and his cupcake kept getting knocked over!

Eli and Clara were very good at helping Ezra but not being over-bearing and fighting over his gifts.  They just enjoyed it all with him.

G&G Hayes gave him an ice cream truck and doggie tent (pics of the kids in the tent in a later post).

G&G Metheny gave him a teddy bear backpack and a toy lawn mower.

Eli and Ezra had a blast pushing and playing with the new mower all around the park!  I couldn't tell which boy loved it more!

Our gift (actually a re-gift that we gave to Eli on his 3rd birthday) was cozy coupe!  My parents had been storing it at their house for a year or so so it would be a fun surprise to him.  I wish David could have captured Ezra's face when he first saw the cozy coupe.  It was pure excitement!

This boy is the absolute BEST caboose in our family!  How we love him!
