Elijah is 4 months old now! My how the time has flown by! It is so fun to watch him grow, and learn and discover new things every day. He is such a darling boy, and we love him very much!
His check-up went well. The pediatrician was happy with how he looked and acted. She was impressed he could already roll over in both directions, and she enjoyed hearing him coo throughout her inspections. Unfortunately she didn't have any awesome tips to help us with nighttime sleep. She said Eli's probably just wanting to nurse for comfort in the night, and that that's okay. She did think I should just let him cry to sleep, but I'm not a fan of that. So I ordered several books on baby sleep to try to help us find a solution!
We tried giving Eli some rice cereal tonight for the first time (hoping that it would help him sleep longer). He kept pushing it out with his tongue! Hmm... So we put it in a bottle instead. He had zero trouble falling asleep, but was up again ready to eat less than two hours later. Boo. He sure has a big appetite!
Here are his statistics:
11 lb. 9 oz. (4th %)
23 1/2 in. long (10th %)
39.8 cm. head width (6th %)
Even though he is small, his doctor thought he looked great! During the visit she called Eli both 'mighty' and a 'peanut,' so now I'm calling him our "mighty peanut!" =)
Then "might peanut" he shall forever be known! I really enjoy seeing his pictures :) He's so adorable...I hope you all are doing well!
