Eli has been doing really well at learning to walk! He loves to walk around the apartment while holding my hand. He took his first steps on his own on February 17th! We have to stand him up first, and then he stays standing for a minute and then takes a few shaky steps to us. He grins from ear to ear as he walks, and then crashes into our arms, giggling. We are just a tad bit giddy about this recent milestone, and love practicing with him any chance we get. Our enthusiasm may have backfired a little, though, as he hasn't wanted to walk on his own for the last couple days.
Since Eli's feeling more confident on his feet, he now enjoys pushing his car around the house. He'll walk with it for a few steps, and then get down on his knees and walk on his knees! The first time David and I saw him do that we thought it was hilarious and could not stop laughing. Sometimes he walks on his knees just to entertain us. : )
