January 2nd David and I celebrated 6 years of marriage!
We dropped our kids at my parent's and spent a couple hours at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. We went there once when we were dating, but haven't been back since. It was fun to experience again. I thought the contemporary art was the most interesting, just to see all the crazy and random things that were created, and then deemed worthy of placing in an art museum!

We ate dinner downtown
at Weber Grill. The food and service were great, so you can't ask for more! After dinner we stepped into Circle Centre Mall. I love the Artsgarden, and it was beautifully lit that night. We stopped for a picture. :) We didn't spend long at the mall because the meter for our car was ready to expire. When we arrived at our car, however, the ticket person had just placed our ticket down. :( What a bummer!
The lights around the Circle were still on, and it was really lovely! And I always enjoy watching people go on carriage rides. We drank some yummy dark hot chocolate at The Chocolate Cafe, and then drove to our hotel.

We stayed the night at Staybridge Suites. It's always a special treat getting to have a night away at a hotel without the kids! No one to clean or cook for, no one waking up in the middle of the night, is a wonderful break! Unfortunately, we had extremely LOUD neighbors! They were down the hall, and even still, felt like they were in our room. They had a big party and blared rap music off and on from the time we got there to at least when I finally fell asleep at 2:00. In retrospect, we should have just called the front desk, but we didn't. It was too bad to have that situation dampen our night away.
Overall we had fun celebrating, and it was EXTRA fun to hear how well the kids did without us! :)
