Swimming

We celebrated the "end of summer" (Labor Day) by going swimming at Forest Park, in Noblesville.  We'd never been swimming there before and it was a great place!  There was a nice shallow pool with fountains and a slide for little kids, a splash pad, a diving pool, and a full-size pool to swim in.  Both kids started out together in the kiddie pool, then Eli and David went swimming together in the big pool while I stayed with Clara while she played on the slide over and over, and then we swapped.  I was so grateful it was perfect swimming weather that day.  So much rain during the latter part of summer had been impeding our plans for swimming, so we're glad we got our chance!

Warming up to the water.

Relaxing!

Clara didn't have a life vest or floaties, so David just swam her around piggyback style.
There was a Kona Ice machine there, so I begged David to let us get some snow cones.  A perfect summer treat!

It's hard to leave the carefree summer days behind.  Goodbye til next year!
