Fall Festivals

Way back in September we attended the Festival of Machines at Conner Prairie.  It was a VERY hot day, and very crowded.  Those two do not mix well for me!  There's so much to check out but we didn't stay more than an hour due to the heat.  The kids enjoyed it, though!

These small ride-on vehicles were a hit!

Eli LOVED the RV!  He was ready to move in!
There were some activities held under a tent.  Thankful to get some relief from the sun!

For this contraption Eli pushed a button and when he let go an object flew up into the air!

On the last Saturday of September our city was having a simple little Fall Festival held at a nearby park, as a fundraiser for the Youth Assistance Program.  It was free and it was a PERFECT fall weather day and NOT over-crowded.  We played some sports activities on blown-up equipment, won small prizes participating in carnival-style games, the kids got airbrush tattoos, and we purchased the inexpensive hot dog & cookie lunch.  A fun way to spend some family time!

The kids are always happy to get time playing on bounce toys!  Eli loved the tall slide and Clara loved the bounce house maze with a smaller slide.

She went FOREVER in this bounce house!  She ran through again and again and again and again!
