Clara had such a wonderful, successful preschool year! She loved it so much and really thrived in the environment. She grew and progressed so much and we are so proud of her! Here are a few pictures to wrap up the year.
In March the school hosted a "Dad's Day." It was a couple hours on a Saturday morning for the students and their dads. The kids sang songs to the dads, they made a craft, gave the dads a gift, and ate a snack. Clara loved having Daddy at school!
Cute singing of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame."
Towards the end of the year the preschool had a special singing program. It was held on a Sunday afternoon, so we didn't attend it. Instead, Ezra and I went to the dress rehearsal.
Our Clara is the girl who delights in performing, so she was very fun to watch as she sang her heart out (she was front row, 3rd from the right). Here are a few of the songs they sang:
"If You're Thankful and You Know It"
"Hello Everybody How Do You Do? God Loves You Today"
"Jesus Loves Me"
"Do You Know Who Made the World?"
"I've got the Joy Down in my Heart"
"We Are Christ United Methodist Preschool!"
The preschool held an end-of-year Open House where we could come and see all of the great artwork the students had done. This year their theme was literature, so all of their artwork were based on children's stories that they read in class. Perfect!
On the last day of school the teachers held an awards ceremony that families were invited to. Clara was so cute as she very proudly and and solemnly marched up to receive her certificate. Sadly the picture I took didn't turn out! On her certificate her teachers wrote "Clara is simply sweet!" She always beams when she remembers them saying that of her. :) After the ceremony everyone enjoyed some cookies.
