We had a birthday party for Eli at my parent's house on Saturday evening. David's parents, his brother, Josh, and my sister, Rebecca, were able to come and help us celebrate. My mom made a yummy dinner and then it was present time!
Eli wasn't quite himself that night. He was very quiet and solemn, and hardly smiled at all. He seemed to be overwhelmed by all the people with eyes on him, and so many new toys all at once! His grandmas both picked out some great toys for super cheap at the second-hand store Once Upon a Child. The first one that he opened was his ride/push toy from Grammie and Grandpa Metheny. Guess we should have saved it for last, because he wasn't interested in opening any other presents after that!
