Eli and Spot venturing out. He was enjoying figuring out the squishy stuff under his shoes, and when he'd finally let me take them off, he enjoyed even more the squishy feeling under his feet!
Came at the perfect time--right at sunset.
Our first time at the beach together! David had wished he had his swim trunks! : )
Eli loved wading in the wet sand, but when that tide came up he ran for dear life. It scared him terribly. Once it came so fast up on him that it knocked him over. : ( Poor little guy was soaked! Thankfully we at least had a blanket for the ride home.
LOVE this picture--
A very cute video of Eli experiencing the ocean--
The whole group having a ball (minus Em, Pooch, and Noah, who headed back home after San Fran).
What a perfect way to end the night!
As soon as we left the beach Eli kept saying "Ocea." He loved it so much! Unfortunately as we were driving the long way home, Eli all of a sudden started bawling/screaming. I could tell he was constipated, and there wasn't anything I could do for him. I held his hand, and in-between crying spells I'd sing to him which helped. It was so sad! He did poo, but it was really painful for him to get out. Then he finally fell asleep, and after about an hour or so we got back to Ryan's house. Eli was so tired and just wanted to go to bed, but I knew that if we gave him a bath it would help his constipation (plus he was filthy from the beach). The poor little guy was miserable, but handled the bath well. After some time he ended up pooing a lot in the tub (along with more crying). We bought him some pedialyte to help him stay better hydrated, and he never had any more trouble.
