Winter Outings

We stay much happier in the winter having many indoor places we can go to play!

The Children's Museum opened a fun new exhibit called Pirates & Princesses.

Keeping an eye out for enemy pirate ships.
Taking her boat out for a ride.

Eli steering the ship to safety.
Princess Clara sitting on her throne.

Knight Eli
Admiring the beautiful treasures.
Clara's turn to steer!

Eli gets SO into riding the horse on the merry-go-round.  It's not a great picture, but kind of shows his sheer happiness.  His horse is 'Chocolate', and he always acts like he's a cowboy in the west when he rides it.  :)  Clara gets pretty nervous on the merry-go-round, and has decided she'd rather sit on the sleigh.  :)
Digging goggles are just a tad too big!
Eli worked hard trying to get the dinosaur puzzle put together.
Mommy dino sitting on her eggs.
Ticket, please!
Spinning to watch the colors above.
This year the museum kept out their slide from Jolly Days and made it a chocolate slide!  The kids LOVE going down it!  Eli puts his arms straight up in the air like he's on a roller coaster.

Conner Prairie

Clara loves playing in the "baby play" area with the
mats, slide, and tunnel.

A little too big for the doll bed!
Eli attached himself to this stick horse and galloped around everywhere with it.
Great art projects!  This time Eli grated sidewalk chalk into a pan of water, dipped in a paper egg, pulled it out and it turned into a marbled colored egg!
Clara enjoyed painting with plastic egg halves.

So grateful to have lots of choices of where to go when the weather's cold!
