Ezra 6-10 Months

I just LOVE this baby!  Ezra is the most darling bundle of cuteness.  Such a sweet, happy, playful boy.  It is incredibly bittersweet to watch him grow.

Ezra started crawling at 7 months, and gets himself all around the house and into all kinds of mischief!  He loves sneaking into the bathroom and unwinding the toilet paper or going straight to the toilet.  He also always makes a beeline for any cords and tries to get behind the tv every day during the kids' show time.  He pulls himself to furniture and cruises.  He can stand alone for several seconds.

He got his first teeth at 4 months old, and by 8 months he had 8 teeth.  It seems like he's working on getting molars.  He often wants to bite me, especially while eating in his highchair and he gets frustrated.  He searches around the house for anything and everything to gnaw on!

I am still nursing Ezra.  He nurses 4 times during the day and still unfortunately is fed a few times in the night to help him get back to sleep when he wakes.  For some time he was biting me while nursing (yowzers!) but thankfully hasn't done that in a while.  He eats three meals and two snacks a day as well.  He's an awesome eater.  I still feed him the pureed baby food (mixed with oatmeal), as well as small pieces of fruits and veggies, or other small things such as noodles, rice, eggs, beans, cheese, yogurt, bread, and soft meat.  He happily eats it all!  He thinks food is pretty grand.  :)

Ezra still has mostly the same schedule.  He naps for an hour in the morning at 9:00 (longer if he's more tired from a previous busy day or awake more the night before).  Then instead of him napping in his carseat in the stroller when we're out his nap gets stretched out until we're home, so he goes down again around 1:30.  That nap is often about two hours.  We try for a third short nap in the evening.  Sometimes he takes it and sometimes he doesn't.  He goes to bed at 7:00.  Sometimes I don't hear from him until 1:00 or 2:00, but often he wakes around 11:00.  He sometimes wakes and eats every two hours, sometimes 3 hours, sometimes longer stretches.  He's had two nights where he went the whole 12 hours without waking!  `He's always gone down for naps and bedtime so easily that I haven't "sleep-trained" him.  I think he just wakes and feeds for comfort (simply rocking him doesn't work, he'll cry harder), and even though it's exhausting, I figure I'll let him do that still and hopefully when he's weaned he can sleep better.  (Hopefully!)  

He HATES getting his diaper changed (can't stand to be made to lie still!) and being wiped up after eating.  He also is very upset when everyone leaves the room, or sometimes just starts crying if he watches me walk away.  He enjoys jumping in his jumperoo for 5 minutes or less.  After that he realizes he's stuck not able to go anywhere and he does NOT like that!  He also hates having to hang out in his pack 'n play while I'm getting ready for a little bit in the morning, ha!

He's always trying his darndest to get the kids' cups or food.  He seems to realize he's really missing out on something good!  :)

He loves going places and seeing people.  He's rarely fussed at the store, even though he has to hang out in his carseat and is past nap time, because he enjoys watching everything and everyone around him.

He can say "Mama" and "Dadadada," but only says them on occasion.  Is very babbly and likes to have lots of conversations.  :)  He knows how to clap and does a slight wave.  He also does a cute bobble-head nod when I ask him questions.

Ez LOVES music!  Every time he hears music his eyes light up and he starts bouncing his little bum. If he's pausing a lot when I'm trying to feed him I start singing and he starts eating again.

 He also loves his older brother and sister, who still fight over who gets to try to make him laugh.

Ezra got croup a couple months ago (thankfully only one bad night and it went away pretty quickly).

Eli got this little car on his 1st birthday.  Ezra loves being pushed around on it!

Learned a fun trick--

I read to the older kids A LOT.  Ezra prefers eating books over reading them at this age.

A favorite pastime is going over to any cupboard door or drawer and pulling out/chewing on all of the contents found inside.  Guess we should do some babyproofing...

Cutest Clapper!

He discovered the doorstoppers and even though he loves hearing them go "BOING!" he can't help but pull them right off to chew on.

Ezra jumps right into the fun roughhousing that Daddy does with the kids.  The video below shows Daddy attempting a TRIPLE steamroll.  :)

Even though they're rather crazy and wild, Ezra adores his big siblings!

At 10 months he still has 8 teeth, wears size 12 months clothes, and size 3 diapers.

He can't ever get enough of the outdoors!  Whenever anyone opens a door he squeals excitedly and crawls as fast as he possibly can to try to get out there, too.  He loves going on walks, going to the park, and playing in the yard.

Such a big boy!
