Eli turned 8 months old on the 9th! Man is that boy ever active! He always wants to be on the go, scooting all around the apartment. It's kinda fun when I leave him for a minute, walk back in the room, and have to ask, "Where are you?" and look for him a little. He's quite the explorer! : )
He got sick again a couple weeks ago. At first I thought it was just due to teething, but his fever got higher and his cold got worse. His first tooth is starting to appear, though! It has been a painfully slow and drawn-out process. I'm hoping that the following teeth won't be as bad!
Eli LOVES my parent's dog, Molly. He gets all giddy when he sees her, grabs on to her fur, and holds on tight. Good thing Molly is so patient with him. : )
Eli just started the funniest bathtime habit. He takes the washcloth out of my hands, sucks on it, dips it in the water to get wetter, puts it back in his mouth, then repeats. So funny! He's also quite fond of his rubber ducky.
Trying on Dad's hat. A second later he pulled it off. He does not like wearing hats.
Good morning! Eli's doing awesome at sleeping at night. Several times he's slept 12 hours straight, otherwise he wakes up once around 4:00. We're doing better at naps, too! He takes all his naps in his crib now. YAY! Sometimes he puts up a fight, so it's still a work-in-progress, but SO much better. Sadly, he doesn't sit well for diaper changes anymore. Guess he'd just rather be off playing!
Practicing standing with Dad! We let him try to hold himself up by holding onto the couch. He did great! It made him laugh when he'd fall, which is even better. He was super smiley, so I thought it would be a great time to whip out the camera. : )
We bought a tray for the bumbo, so we've started giving Eli Puffs to feed himself. He misses his mouth most of the time, and then the Puffs fall and get stuck to his pants, but it's good he gets the practice.
Eli's very vocal. His favorite thing to say is "dadadadadada." We're counting it as "Dad," since he started saying it when David would get home from work.
Eli LOVES people, and he loves going out and seeing new things. He smiles at everyone, and is really good at letting people hold him.
