24

On Monday I celebrated my 24th birthday!  Well, actually the celebrating started on Saturday, when David came home with these--

Beautiful!  I just adore getting flowers.

He also gave me this lovely jewelry cabinet, that he bought from a lady from work for a great deal--

Perfect!  Now I have a fitting place to hold all my jewelry, instead of in tackle boxes on my dresser.  : )

Saturday night we hit the theater (a rare treat) to FINALLY see Harry Potter!  We enjoyed the film and relished our Red Vines (and got a touch of nostalgia for Rexburg's Horkley's).  Yum!  My sister, Rebecca, was kind enough to baby-sit for us.  We thought Eli would sleep peacefully in his crib while we were away, but unfortunately he woke up crying, then threw up twice when Becky tried rocking him back to sleep.  : (  She was sweet enough not to tell us until we got home, though.  : )

We stayed at my parent's Sunday evening, since we would be heading for Lake Monroe with them on Monday (more on that on a later post).  On my birthday evening, my mom made delicious Hawaiian haystacks and chocolate cake with raspberry filling!  Mmm-mmm.  Opening my presents was a little humorous.  I received several children's books, scrapbooking supplies for Eli's book, and a CD of primary songs, among other things (all of which I asked for).  Boy did I ever feel like a mom!  I'm sure Eli will love "our" gifts!  : )
