Bear Hunts, Amusement Parks, & Tea Parties

At the beginning of August we gathered with others at a local park for a Teddy Bear Picnic.  It's a very misleading name, as we learned from last year that sadly there's NO picnic whatsoever.  This year was actually a little weird, as the Story Lady read dinosaur books, instead of books about bears.  But the best part was when we got to go on the bear hunt!  We sang the little song/story, and then the kids were off in search of the bears.  The bears were pretty camouflaged in their surroundings, but Eli managed to find several, and then received a big one to decorate.

Also the first week of August David went to Kings Island with his mom and brother, Josh.  The trip was part of his celebration for passing the CPA tests last Fall.  He spent the entire day/night, and they had a blast!

We get together with our parents often.  (We see each set generally 1-2 times a month.)  One of Eli's favorite things to do with his Grammie is have tea parties.  : )

  1. that is so cute that Eli has tea parties! I bet it makes him feel pretty special. I will have to try that with Zach.
