Sealed Together

We pass the temple every week on our way to church (when we're not having months of church at home), but somehow I always forget to take the time to bring the kids to visit the temple grounds.  So one beautiful Saturday in August after we attended a baptism we finally made the time.

I love the peace and joy the temple brings.  I am really missing not getting to attend the temple during this quarantine.  Last year I went to the temple every month.  2020 has been a much bumpier ride and I have very sadly not made it there at all!  I enjoy teaching my family about the temple and the wonderful blessings that come from temple work and from being sealed as a family.

The kids' delighted smiles in these pictures is how I hope they will always feel when they come to the temple.  I want them to delight in the work of the Lord, to desire to have His Spirit to always be with them, to love Him and want to serve and follow Him.  Doing so really does bring true happiness.

Eli really was happy.  He just isn't so happy to ever have his picture taken!

I know this set of photos is basically the same picture each time.  But I love them each in their own little ways so I had to include all of them!

While we were there we ran into an old childhood friend who had just been sealed to her husband!  It was truly wonderful to see, as she had spent many years away from the Church and not living the gospel.  It was a sweet reminder to me of the beauty of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and His perfect love, that we can ALWAYS repent and His arms will ALWAYS be outstretched and waiting to welcome us back, and when we do come back we can still receive every single blessing He has to offer.

I wish we had found someone to take our whole family picture so David could have joined us!  We are absolutely grateful for him and his role in our family!



Love this forever family o'mine!  How grateful I am for infinite chances God gives me to teach them of His goodness and grace.
